The Little Word "In"

In the book of Acts we read of an altar erected by the Athenians to the "unknown god." To Paul, this indicated their ignorance of the source and substance of existence. Paul endeavored to enlighten them by explaining that "in him [God] we live, and move, and have our being." Acts 17:28;

Since "we live, and move, and have our being" in God, and since God is unlimited Mind, Spirit, Life, as the Bible teaches, then our life must be unlimited, unencased in matter, unfettered, now and always. There can never be a time when man, God's likeness or evidence, is less than limitless, boundless, free. Therefore, when we think or speak of man, God's expression, as living and moving and having his being in God, the little word "in" must mean that man is at one with God, coexistent with Mind.

An understanding of what God is necessarily includes the correlative understanding that man is the idea, evidence, or outcome of God, that he is His witness, the image of Mind. One cannot think of God without man. Infinite Mind is manifested or evidenced by infinite ideas, and each individual idea of Mind is infinite, unlimited in all its qualities. Man is Spirit's, Mind's, expression. He is not included in anything except infinite, limitless Spirit, Life, Truth, and Love.
