THE MOMENTS OF SILENT PRAYER

This is a time to turn away
From pressing cares and earthly things.
Forgetting self, and shutting out
False pictures, letting thought find wings,
We rise to spiritual heights
Where pure, inspired sense reveals
God's tender, all-embracing love—
The love that blesses, comforts, heals.
