Love's Abundance

Many years ago, long before I had even heard of Christian Science, I had an interesting spiritual experience.

I was in urgent, even desperate, need of a sum of money with which to pay a debt. I was only a youth and had no one to turn to for the necessary supply, which was far beyond my own means.

At that time I was a member of a Bible class. Among the Bible passages read one Sunday were these words of Christ Jesus': "Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?" Matt. 7:9-11;
