Daily Strength

What comfort there is in the assurance that we have all we need every moment—all we need of strength, health, joy, right activity, love, companionship, or whatever humanity may seem to require!

When the children of Israel were journeying through the desert on their way to the Promised Land, at one point their supply of food ran out; but God gave them daily bread in the form of manna. The people were told to gather and eat exactly what each one needed every day. If they were disobedient and held some over for the following day as well, it spoiled and could not be used. (See Exodus 16.) A hymn in the Christian Science Hymnal refers to this experience, and one stanza reads:
