"Don't Tolerate— Exterminate"!
While passing through the business section of a city, I noticed a sign advertising an exterminating company: "Don't Tolerate— Exterminate." As I proceeded on my way, I began to ask myself how many times I had agreed to tolerate certain discords and difficulties instead of exterminating them.
I recalled the many months I had tolerated a rash on my hands until I finally got irritated enough to declare the only thing I had been doing with my hands was good and there was no law of punishment for doing good, because God is a loving God and as His child I could not suffer. He is divine Spirit, and man is His perfect expression. Disease is unnatural, untrue, no part of man's real existence. The rash shortly disappeared.
Then I recalled a friend who wasn't able to eat nuts without suffering. Anyone with this type of problem might reason that since it isn't difficult to maintain a menu without nuts it would seem easier just to eliminate the nuts than challenge the suffering. And I thought of those who believe they must live in a certain climate to be in a state of health.
