"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning" (James 1:17). I am becoming aware more each day that the greatest gift of all to mankind is Christian Science, the Comforter promised by Christ Jesus, as revealed by God to Mrs. Eddy.

I have known of this religion all my life, but there were some years when I was too engrossed in material ways, and I pushed Christian Science to the background. However, when a crisis appeared in the form of a heart attack, I turned wholeheartedly to Science for healing. I received treatment from a consecrated practitioner, and although the healing was slow, there was steady progress. The practitioner led me gently but firmly back onto the straight and narrow path. I received a complete healing, and again took up my profession as a teacher. I have led a very active life ever since.

During the Korean War our two sons were protected all during their service years. I thanked God every day for their protection and rejoiced in proofs of God's guidance.
