After twenty-five years of successful study and application of Christian Science to every phase of my life, I feel the time has come to give a testimony in gratitude to God for Christ Jesus, and for Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, which reinstates Christ-healing.

Central Park in my city has been the scene of armed robbery and crime during the late evening and night hours of spring, summer, and fall. However, this has not deterred me from strolling across that area to and from our Wednesday evening testimony meetings.

About three years ago while walking through a wooded section, I was threatened by three hoodlums intent upon robbery. Their approach did not cause me to slacken my pace or change my direction, but I calmed my thought with the assurance of God's omnipresence, of man in His image and likeness, a conviction of the nothingness of evil. When we came abreast, the central figure belligerently demanded that I stop, but giving neither him nor his words any heed, I went through the space between the three, continuing my walk without further molestation.
