Words are inadequate to express my gratitude to God for Christ Jesus, our Way-shower, and for Mrs. Eddy. I became acquainted with Christian Science through my mother, and can say in all sincerity that was a blessed day for me.

I would like to tell some of the healings received through its study and application.

At one time I had what appeared to be double pneumonia, although it was not medically diagnosed. My breathing was very difficult, and at times I was unconscious, with much pain in my chest. My husband, who is also a student of Christian Science, read to me from the Bible, and from the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. The two helpful statements we held to were one in the Bible (Ps. 91:2) "He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust" and one from our textbook (p. 224), "The power of God brings deliverance to the captive." After about five days I could feel that God was my refuge and would deliver me. I began to improve rapidly, and was soon well.
