I Have "done no hurt"

In our daily lives we sometimes hurt others or tend to be hurt by their words and actions. We are inclined to let into our thought resentment, condemnation, and criticism. If we do not rebuke these impostors, or false beliefs of life apart from God, divine Love, we will feel hurt; our harmony will be destroyed; and prolonged suffering may result. But as we learn to keep proper watch over our thinking, we can resist the suggestion that we can be hurt by our fellowman, for we can understand that he too is the perfect expression of God. And one of God's ideas cannot hurt another idea of God. Seeing this, we are saved the discord and suffering that otherwise would ensue.

In the story of Daniel in the Old Testament, when the king came to the den of lions and asked Daniel if his God whom he served continually was able to deliver him from the lions, Daniel answered, "My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt." Dan. 6:22;

It must have been true that Daniel felt no hurt in response to the actions of those who were envious of him, falsely accusing him of treason. Also, according to his own words, he had done no hurt to the king. Daniel could not be hurt by the lions or by the actions of others when he was cherishing no sense of hurt in his thought.
