Dominion over Aging
We don't need to be afraid of growing old. Christian Science gives us dominion over all fears and handicaps thought to relate to advancing years. Step by step it shows us their unreality, because it is the Christ Science, the practical means by which God's spiritual man becomes known to us and is found—proved—to be our own real, ageless, joyful identity.
As this Science explains, everything that happens to us is a result of accepted thinking about ourselves and our experience. What we call matter is a mortal concept of life, substance, and intelligence separate from God. We live with the thought shapes of the carnal, or mortal, mind, and we believe them to be outward things.
Instead of actually being shut up in a material body that may sooner or later let us down, we find through Christian Science that such a body is really a mental picture. Christ Jesus understood the illusory nature of matter; hence his command over it, evidenced in his healing the sick, calming the storm, and feeding the multitude.
