To Radiate Light
"Arise, shine," we read in Isaiah, "for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee." Isa. 60:1;
What is this light? Is it material? From the moon, the stars, or the sun perhaps? Or is it spiritual light, which far transcends and outshines any material rays of energy?
In Science and Health Mary Baker Eddy writes: "Light is a symbol of Mind, of Life, Truth, and Love, and not a vitalizing property of matter. Science reveals only one Mind, and this one shining by its own light and governing the universe, including man, in perfect harmony." Science and Health, pp. 510, 511; Hence Christian Science explains that the true light is spiritual and its source is God, infinite Spirit, perfect Mind, the Soul of all existence.
