Sion (Ps. 65:1)

Usually spelled Zion. "The name of the fortress of the pre–Israelite city of Jerusalem . . . conquered by David and made his capital. The name is frequently used in the Psalms and the Prophets as a synonym for Jerusalem" (Hastings' Dictionary of the Bible).
