I would like to express my gratitude for the love and protection which have come into my life from the understanding I have gained, through the study of Christian Science, of the ever-presence of the infinite divine Mind, God.

I first became interested in Science when all medical help had failed me. I had been suffering from arthritis for some time and gradually was becoming worse. I was almost unable to use my arms, and could barely walk. This caused me great inconvenience as a housewife who had a family to care for. The doctor informed me he could do very little more for me and he thought the only solution would be for me to use a wheelchair.

At this time I remembered a relative who was a student of this religion, and she asked me if I would visit a Christian Science practitioner, which I agreed to do. The practitioner advised me to study Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and told me she would pray for me.
