"I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He . . . set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God" (Ps. 40:1—3).
In gratitude to God and Christian Science, I would like to tell of a healing. When I was in high school, I became unable to walk because of pain, and the disease was diagnosed as tuberculosis of the hip and sacroiliac bone. For about a year I was hospitalized. I did not improve, although doctors did all they could. I was finally sent home for care. I was kept in body casts, and one leg became shorter than the other due to bone deterioration.
After some time, aware that my condition was not improving, I turned to God for help. I took my Bible and began reading it, searching for an answer. The answer was at hand.
