[Ability to demonstrate Christian Science comes with study and practice of the truth taught by Christ Jesus and revealed in Science and Health. This series touches upon some ways in which this truth can be applied.]
Healing by reversing physical sense testimony
Truth is God, divine Spirit. The truth of man is that he is spiritual, immortal, Godlike, whole, unblemished, satisfied. If the physical senses testify that he is in some way imperfect, they lie. But this lie can be destroyed since all there is of the discordant picture of a mortal, material, fragmented, unhealthy, unhappy individual is the false evidence of personal sense, the devil, or adversary.
The way to heal discord is to reverse the false physical evidence by mentally opposing it with Truth as Jesus did. When tempted by the devil, the lie of evil, he said, "Get thee hence, Satan." And the Bible says, "Then the devil leaveth him."Matt. 4:10, 11;
The devil will leave anyone who courageously and deliberately opposes the evidence of physical sense by reversing its arguments in accordance with the divine Science of being. By our changing the testimony, error will yield to Truth, and the result will be healing.
