For many years I have relied on Christian Science for help in solving problems of all kinds, and there have been many healings.

One time when living on a very busy street, and on the third floor of an apartment house, I looked out of the window and saw our three–year–old boy and a dog in the middle of the street. I instantly lost all sense of fear when I realized that God, who is ever present, was right there with the boy. I started to run downstairs, but slowed to a walk, knowing that divine Love was governing and protecting them. I also had to correct my thought of annoyance at the dog, because up to that time the boy would not step off the curb unless someone was with him. When I got outside, the boy and dog were safely back on our side of the street.

The next day I happened to overhear two men talking about the incident when the small boy and dog were protected in the heavy traffic, and one of them said, "It was a miracle." I was grateful to know it wasn't a miracle but God's law of love in operation.
