As I have had the privilege throughout some years to read and to listen to many testimonies, all of which I have enjoyed, and having found some so helpful, I feel it is time to share a healing I had six years ago, which proved to me, as a dentist, that Christian Science really heals.

One evening I felt a very sharp toothache. At first I was very much afraid that I would not be able to make a trip to a distant city, where I had to attend a conference the next day. I knew from former experiences how these apparent symptoms would develop. In the past, with the treatment given by the most skillful dentists, it had been necessary to extract the teeth in question. This time, trained by the Christian Science teachings, I refused to entertain the clinical picture. I decided to forget my entire medical study, my title as a dentist, and all the bad experiences I had had. I determined to rely only on God, trusting Him entirely for the healing. Literally I erased all the knowledge acquired during the years of practice as a dentist. With a gesture of my hand I swept away all these false beliefs.

I opened the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, at random and began to read. All at once I felt as if a hand had passed over my face, and I was entirely free from pain. There were no aftereffects. This same tooth is still securely in its place. I was able to demonstrate the truth and enjoy an instantaneous healing, having trusted absolutely in God as the only healer, and having refused to entertain any false belief of inharmony.
