It was a good many years ago that I was blessed with Christian Science coming into my life. My little girl, the firstborn, and I took a trip to California to visit some relatives. The main reason of the trip was that I would be helped by the sunshine and a vegetable diet I had heard so much about. I needed to be stronger and healthier.

For six months I went through rigid diets, electrolysis, and massages at a health institution. I became thinner and thinner, down to ninety pounds, and very weak. Then I reached out to God as a drowning man who makes efforts to save himself.

The answer to my prayer came when one of my relatives asked me to try Christian Science. She had seen a neighbor healed and was sure I could be, too. I was taken to a nearby Christian Science practitioner. With her consecrated, faithful prayers I was soon healed. I began to eat everything and became buoyant and happy. My weight became normal. When I went back to the institution to pay my bill, the doctor could not believe I was the same person.
