A College Student Writes
On Better Communication
We can speak by telephone to people scattered around the globe, but this does not mean that we are effectively communicating. Communication involves a more complete interchange of ideas, with understanding on the part of all parties involved.
Better communication between different countries and ethnic groups is desperately needed today. Separation—geographical and ideological—seems to result in misunderstanding and war. As Christian Scientists, we can help this world situation by understanding and practicing true communication.
Truth is what needs to be communicated, and Truth is universal and tangible, not fleeting or restricted. If God, Mind, is All, as Christian Science teaches, then right ideas stem from God and benefit people of all countries and viewpoints. The power of God is strong, and His communication can never be weakened or stretched thin by distance.
