It Was Just a Little Thing
"It was just a little thing, but it meant a lot to me." It isn't unusual to hear comments to this effect at Wednesday testimony meetings in Churches of Christ, Scientist, throughout the world.
Perhaps a little thing has started the individual on a new path of thought, toward better understanding of God and more trust in Him. Or perhaps he has learned that he can turn hopefully to God, the one perfect Mind, for help in solving not only big problems but little ones too, in overcoming trivialities that would subtly attempt to rob him of his rightful peace and happiness.
Consequently, he testifies with the expectation that his experience will be helpful to others. Perhaps someone else will be reminded to reevaluate the good little things as well as devaluate the bad ones as they appear in rapid succession in daily life. He too may expect to learn their lessons under divine Mind's perfect counsel and unerring direction.
