For about two weeks I suffered with such a severe headache that I became very weak. This was a new experience for me, since my physical health was usually good. I called a Christian Science practitioner, and with her prayerful help I was able to work many hours daily with the textbooks, the King James Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, as well as her other writings. I was seeking to understand that man is God's idea. I spent many hours with the Lesson-Sermon. On page 536 of Science and Health Mrs. Eddy says, "The divine understanding reigns, is all, and there is no other consciousness." When the meaning of this sentence became real to me, I was healed. In a few hours the pain left, and it has not come back.

I am very grateful for this healing, as well as for the daily blessings that an increasing understanding of Christian Science brings. I am also grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church and for class instruction.
