Consciousness Is Man's Forever Address
On the move. Transferred families. No chance to put down roots. Has this been your experience? A very prevalent phenomenon of present-day living is the family whose business commitments result in frequent transfers. Perhaps this will happen only once, but more frequent transfers seem to be the trend in today's economic picture. Our family has lived in six different states, back and forth across the United States. All these moves were necessitated by my husband's employment.
This adjustment to entirely new surroundings is a big one. For this reason, many large corporations maintain a counseling service to advise families and help them adjust more easily to a totally new environment.
Here is where Christian Science is of inestimable value. First, we know, in line with the Scriptural teaching, that in God "we live, and move, and have our being." Acts 17:28; This word "move" once arrested my attention. I saw that wherever we moved had to be within the omnipresence of God.
