Swathed in time's
winding-sheet, how
can Lazarus come
alive again now
for us in this room,
this one hour
dissolved, also, soon?
We want the truth.
No candy canes, please.
Did that girl Ruth
live? Does the power
of prayer really heal?
Questions tease
subjects apart.
The Christ, heard
in caves of the heart,
calls us forth
to prove Love's word.
