It is with sincere gratitude that I write the following testimony of healing.

For many years I had read and studied the writings of Mrs. Eddy and had had many proofs of God's healing power and its efficacy.

Returning from a business trip with my husband one rainy evening, I slipped on a sloping driveway. I struck my thumb on the end with such force as to send the bone through the skin. My husband had gone into the house carrying our baggage and did not know about the incident. As I realized that I couldn't seem to lift my hand and arm, I declared that man cannot "fall from his high estate." In Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, we read (p. 258), "Never born and never dying, it were impossible for man, under the government of God in eternal Science, to fall from his high estate." I knew also that an accident cannot occur in divine Mind. I declared that I was a spiritual idea, not material, but God's complete and perfect idea now. I got up and started toward the house, meeting my husband on his way back to the car.
