Meeting Human Needs
Much of the world is occupied with meeting human needs. Laws have been enacted and many plans put forth as solutions to famine, poverty, disease, and, in fact, the whole spectrum of human deficiencies. Humanity is actively seeking ways to help itself, even though it often meets with limited success.
A century ago Mrs. Eddy injected into the human scene a divine discovery, which she named Christian Science. In the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health., she stated the solution to human ills in a few simple words, "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." Science and Health, p. 494;
Authenticated testimonies of healing, regeneration, and supply published in the Christian Science periodicals, as well as oral testimonies given in Christian Science churches during Wednesday meetings, show that divine Love, God, does indeed "meet every human need," and that this truth is being proved today through the study and application of Christian Science.
