The Idea Behind the College Organization

The Christian Science college organization is the human expression of the activity of the Christ, Truth, in the campus world.

Behind every activity of The Mother Church, including your college organization, there is the spiritual idea of Church—the forever idea of divine Mind, possessing no material origin in time or place. Firmly established as the expression of Truth, it cannot be shaken or destroyed by any of the misconceptions about it. Its spiritual origin established, its spiritual composition is evident.

If we see our own college organization as the expression of this idea of Mind, it will be recognized on campus as a worthwhile and intelligent activity that cannot be mocked or thought of as unsophisticated or insignificant. If we recognize that this organization represents the necessary idea, vital to the fullest expression of Mind, it cannot be overlooked or obstructed. Other students will feel impelled to visit and join it.
