I love to thank God for the comfort, protection, and healing that have come to me through the study and application of His law, Christian Science; and I express my gratitude often at the Wednesday evening testimony meetings.

I feel that over the years the healing that has brought me the most joy is the freedom from fear of testifying at the Wednesday evening meetings. I sat as though glued to the seat for too many years, but as my understanding of the truths of being increased, opportunities to demonstrate Christian Science increased, and I found myself able to participate in the testimony meetings without fear.

I was healed of smallpox when I was a child. This was at a time when there was great fear of the disease and many were dying. When my brother, sister, and I manifested the symptoms of small-pox, my mother reported to the health officer of our city in compliance with the law. He examined us and quarantined our family. A Christian Science practitioner was called to give us treatment, and no medical remedies were used. Within a short time the three of us were completely healed, and we had no scars.
