While a friend and I were riding our motorcycles in the mountains, I gained too much speed on a sharp curve, crossed the white line, and hit a car. No one was injured in the car. I was picked up and taken to a hospital with a concussion, a badly bruised cheekbone, and several minor cuts and bruises.
At the hospital I told them I was a Christian Scientist and did not want medical aid. No medical aid was given. My parents came, but decided that it was not wise for them to take me home in the car that night. A Christian Science practitioner was asked to give me treatment; and when my parents returned to the hospital twenty-four hours later, I was able to go home with them. I went back to work in six days. My healing was complete, and there have been no aftereffects.
My brother, two sisters, and I attend the Christian Science Sunday School. I am very grateful for Christian Science.
