"Sensuality palsies the right hand"
Sensuality is a word often used and many times not fully understood. Too often in the mind of some it relates almost entirely to sex. Sexuality is not by far the whole of this area of false belief in the reports of the physical senses and dependence on materiality for happiness.
Early in the study of Christian Science a student found a sentence of Mrs. Eddy's that made an indelible impression, "Sensuality palsies the right hand, and causes the left to let go its grasp on the divine." Science and Health, p. 142; The word "sensuality" has been of considerable moment to this student ever since.
Certainly no one wants to feel separated from the power of God or feel his grasp on the divine loosened. The cause of such conditions therefore needs to be considered deeply and corrected through prayer and the study and living of the Science of Life.
