"Nothing to develop"
One evening a young mother called upon a Christian Science practitioner to pray for her child, who was feverish and ill. The following morning she reported gratefully that the distressing symptoms had disappeared and that the child was well and happy, with no sign of the ailment of the preceding day.
"It just didn't develop!" she said joyfully.
The response of the practitioner was loving but firm. "There was nothing to develop," said she.
