Giving and Having a Happy Christmas
"A happy Christmas"! This greeting, filled with tenderness, is in the message Mrs. Eddy extended to those who were serving in her home in 1909. Her complete message is redolent with warmth and love. It says:
"My Household
Beloved:—A word to the wise is sufficient. Mother wishes you all a happy Christmas, a feast of Soul and a famine of sense. Lovingly thine,
Mary Baker Eddy"The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 263;
As the Christmas season approaches, it is helpful to ponder this message of Mrs. Eddy's.
