Many years ago a gift of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy was given to our family. For this precious gift I have been ever grateful. The study of the Bible and Science and Health revealed a new way of life to me. It made the teachings of the Bible practical and the promises possible of fulfillment.
As a result of my wholehearted acceptance of Christian Science, I early sought and obtained membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church. Many appointments to serve were joyfully accepted. Class instruction was a step in my journey Spiritward. The joy of being an associate at a Sanatorium of the Christian Science Benevolent Association was a most happy and rewarding experience.
All these opportunities to serve brought me a better understanding of my true relationship to our Father-Mother God. As Mrs. Eddy states in the Manual of The Mother Church (Art. VIII, Sect. 15), "God requires our whole heart, and He supplies within the wide channels of The Mother Church dutiful and sufficient occupation for all its members." I have found this to be true.
