I should like to tell of two healings for which I am very grateful

I should like to tell of two healings for which I am very grateful. When I was only three years old, I appeared to have chicken pox one day. That evening I was sitting up in bed, and when my mother came in to draw my curtains across, I sang to her these words: "Error has gone away, now we will let God come." That night I slept peacefully, and there wasn't any more irritation. The spots cleared away very quickly after that.

The other healing took place more recently. I had many warts on both my hands. My friends often made remarks about them. One day at school a teacher noticed one of them and said that it should be covered up. That night I knew that this just couldn't continue, so I started to work about it in Christian Science.

My mother had often reminded me of the statement from page 380 of Mrs. Eddy's book, Science and Health, "Truth is always the victor." I thought about this fact until I went to sleep. A week or so later I happened to glance down at my hands. Where one of the warts had been, there wasn't a sign of it any more. I was so grateful that I went on praying nearly every night for about a month. I knew that God wouldn't give His child anything ugly and that because He is perfect, I, being His reflection, must be perfect too.
