I have recently had a healing in Christian Science of a nervous condition, the symptoms of which were depression and insomnia, which had continued for two and one half years. During this time I was up and dressed each day and seldom missed church. However, at times I did not see how I could possibly go on another day. It was difficult to prepare meals for myself. To go into a store or write letters was an impossibility. I was afraid of losing my mind, and I did not care to go on living.

During this time I was having treatment from a Christian Science practitioner. For her wonderful support and consecrated, prayerful work, I am most grateful, Whenever the thought came to me that I was losing my mind, I tried to reverse it by repeating these words (Science and Health by Mis, Eddy, p. 492): "God is Mind, and God is infinite; hence all is Mind," I reasoned that since I could never lose God, who is the only Mind, I could never lose my sanity.

I also studied Mrs. Eddy's statement (ibid., p. 151), "All that really exists is the divine Mind and its idea, and in this Mind the entire being is found harmonious and eternal." I kept declaring that since divine Mind is all that really exists there could not possibly be a sick or well, old or young, mortal. There could be no mortal mind to bring these ungodlike thoughts to consciousness. I dwelt on my spiritual existence. Mrs. Eddy says (ibid., p. 492), "For right reasoning there should be but one fact before the thought, namely, spiritual existence."
