I received an early introduction to the fact...
I received an early introduction to the fact that God is Life, Truth, and Love by regular attendance at a Christian Science Sunday School. I have seen an understanding of Christian Science heal many forms of sickness and sin and have had an abundance of healings in my own experience.
As a teen-ager I had an instantaneous healing that I find myself being thankful for many times over. While I was on the beach one day, I injured my foot. It swelled, and a bone protruded from the side in an awkward position. I turned my thought to the truth of man as stated in the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and held in particular to these sentences (p. 468): "There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter. All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all."
The lifeguard drove me to my home, and a Christian Science practitioner was asked to give me treatment.
