We Never Leave Home
"Make yourself at home" is a popular phrase. But how often mankind fail to do just that! With so many people in the world constantly on the move, the importance and value of feeling at home become even more obvious.
Physical surroundings often cry out against establishing a stable sense of home. Perhaps one's dwelling is far from ideal. But can one really afford to limit his concept of home to any impermanent material structure, grand or modest, adequate or inadequate? Can home ever be confined within walls?
No house can contain all that there is to home. Christian Science teaches that in reality home is a spiritually mental concept, a symbol of the kingdom of heaven, not found in matter and therefore never subject to change or destruction. When we actively entertain this spiritual concept of home in consciousness, it is always evidenced as comfortable and adequate housing in our human experience.
