The Kingdom Within

Humanity's search for healing has been based in general on the pagan and superstitious belief in the healing power of different forms of matter. Because of this propensity of the human mind to seek healing through material things, the world is dotted with idols, shrines, spas, and special places of pilgrimage.

The Scriptures record the existence of such a place in Jesus' day. It was known as the pool of Bethesda. The record states that near this pool there "lay a great multitude of impotent folk ... waiting for the moving of the water.... Whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had." John 5:3, 4; On one occasion, through spiritual means alone, Jesus healed a man who was waiting there. He had been infirm for thirty-eight years; but when Jesus healed him, he was able immediately to walk off, carrying the bed on which he had been lying.

Christ Jesus, our beloved Way-shower, gave the complete answer to where and how to find salvation and healing when he said, 'Behold, the kingdom of God is within you." Luke 17:21 ;
