Words cannot express my constant gratitude for all the blessings...

Words cannot express my constant gratitude for all the blessings that have come to me through the study and application of Christian Science. To many young people today, including university students, religion seems to be a subject quite apart from daily experience, from studies, sports, and everyday life. There were times when I thought so too, until I realized how practical religion can be when earnestly studied and applied.

When I went away to boarding school, I seemed to lose contact with religion altogether; however, suddenly being faced with a great number of academic and social problems I had never met with before, I eventually realized that the truths I had learned in a Christian Science Sunday School could be applied to solve them.

Since I am an only child, I found great difficulty at first in adjusting to boarding school life. The academic work seemed much harder than at the previous school, and my marks suffered accordingly. At first these problems seemed unsolvable, but as I understood and applied more and more of what I was learning of God and the real facts of being, they were solved one by one.
