Many are the blessings that have come into my life as a result of the study and application of Christian Science. It has brought to my experience increased health, happiness, and harmony; it has revealed marvelous opportunities.

Although I had a good foundation in Christian Science as a result of attending the Sunday School, I became dilatory in my study and application when I was in my late teens.

When I went away to attend a small college, I applied for sorority membership. Early in the process of selection my name was eliminated, and not only was I forced to face the feeling of being one not chosen but I had to suffer this humiliation publicly, since the school was so small that everyone was well aware of what had happened. Privately I dug out from my trunk my Bible and also Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, started to study the Lesson-Sermon, outlined in the Quarterly, and wrote to a practitioner for help in facing the world.
