Several years ago I partially lost control of my right hand
Several years ago I partially lost control of my right hand. Eating with it was very difficult and writing almost impossible. I learned to eat with my left hand, and by assuming an abnormal position, I could sign my name and scribble a few words.
While traveling in Australia, I contracted a cold. It was not troubling me very much, but it was not clearing up quickly as a result of my own prayerful work; so I asked for treatment from a local Christian Science practitioner.
During the treatments the thought kept coming to me, "Love is impartial and universal in its adaptation and bestowals" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 13). It finally unfolded to me that a Christian Science treatment is applicable not only to the specific error being handled but also to whatever other difficulties are plaguing the individual. With this realization I found I had regained the control of my hand. And the cold was healed too.
