[The author of a recent article about Mary Baker Eddy] is entitled to his view that no form of healing other than medicine has validity. ... Christian Scientists appreciate the sincerity of the medical profession's endeavours, but doubtless some explanation as to why they rely entirely on their religion for healing would interest your readers.

Understandably, most people's expectations are satisfied if medicines, drugs or surgery bring about a return to bodily health.
