Proving that Truth Heals
Any problem presented to mankind can be and should be solved. No discordant condition need remain in one's experience. A Christian Scientist expects normalcy in every aspect of the human experience. When a challenge to his sense of well-being occurs, he turns to his understanding of Truth.
Truth is one of the synonyms given by Mrs. Eddy in her definition of God in the Glossary of Science and Health. Thus, when one "knows the truth," he is actually acknowledging God; he is realizing the omnipotence and omnipresence of the Supreme Being and denying the existence of anything unlike God.
At times an individual may seem unable to solve a problem himself, and so he asks a Christian Science practitioner for help. The practitioner does not heal through any power of his own. It is the truth which he knows and declares that brings the healing.
