I should like to express my gratitude for divine Love's protection and guidance over the years. My parents, to whom I shall always be grateful for introducing me to Christian Science, enrolled me in a Christian Science Sunday School when I was three. The first truth I learned was, "God is love" (I John 4:16). The ensuing years of training in the Sunday School until I reached the age of twenty provided me with a firm, spiritual foundation on which to build in subsequent years.

During my teens I was confronted with physical problems, school problems, and those of right companionship. Help from dedicated Sunday School teachers and practitioners aided me in solving these harmoniously. Mumps, a badly sprained ankle, and an inferiority complex, which made me unhappy, were among the difficulties healed during my teen years.

During this time I joined The Mother Church. I have since felt the universal love expressed through our lectures and periodicals and the comfort and aid rendered by Christian Science Ministers for the Armed Services and Christian Scientists serving as Chaplains.
