At one time I experienced the swelling of a gland. The accompanying pain and nausea were so severe that I was unable to declare the truth myself. A call was made to a practitioner, who came to my bedside and helped me to realize man's true relation to God. We talked of God and His great love for His children. The swelling began to go down at this point; and the next day I was up and dressed, and the swelling had subsided.

Shortly after this healing the opportunity to visit my children in the East materialized. While I was there I had a rupture. I decided to return to California and have treatment from the same practitioner. He came to my bedside. As well as experiencing pain from the rupture, I was suffering from hemorrhaging of the kidneys. Both these difficulties were shortly healed.

When I got up after this experience, I found the hot water heater leaking. Hot water was a must. I called a plumber. He arrived about five o'clock in the evening and stated that because the heater was a special unit he was uncertain how soon it could be replaced. But, as Mrs. Eddy tells us (Science and Health, p. 494), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." About nine o'clock the next morning the plumber had obtained a new unit and had installed it well before noon.
