On all sides now there is concern with this wholesale assault against the standards of modesty, decency and fidelity with which the home, the church and society generally are faced....But what's to be done? There are many angles, of course....
While wary of censorship generally, I feel a decent society has got to close up some of these cesspools that pour their filth into people's lives. It's claptrap to call that sort of stuff freedom of the press. It is a deliberate attempt to destroy youth....If a theatre owner has no more sense of moral responsibility than to show films for the prurient, I still see no reason why a responsible journal should print suggestive words and pictures announcing that fact....
