I am so grateful to have had training in the Christian Science Sunday School, for it equipped me with a workable knowledge of God's law, which has met my needs for companionship, right place, right activity, and physical healing.
While attending college, I experienced a painful throat inflammation which lasted for several weeks. The condition was noticeable to those around me, for it was extremely difficult for me to eat. One of my roommates finally requested that I go to the university hospital.
At this point I realized that I needed to apply more diligently the truths I knew in order to solve this problem. I called for Christian Science help and began to be more consecrated in my own prayers. As I lost resentment for the same roommate, who had shown great opposition to my religion all along, and learned to see her as the child of God, loving, warm, and receptive to the truth, the physical problem disappeared. Along with it went the resentment my roommate had felt toward me. As a result, we were able to enjoy the rest of that semester and an additional semester together harmoniously.
