I was first led to Christian Science by the healing of phlebitis many years ago. Since that time much good has come to me and mine through the application of Science.
Sometime ago I was suffering from indigestion pains which became worse even though I was attempting to apply Christian Science. I called a practitioner and asked for help. I remarked to her that I didn't know which food caused the pain. Immediately she said, "It's not the food, but the thought."
As I turned from the telephone, I picked up a Sentinel and was led to turn to article that just met my needs. It brought out that God had no favorite sons or daughters. This caught my attention; and further on I read that to justly evaluate another, one must see him as he truly is—the perfect idea of God. In this way we obey the Master's injunction (Matt, 19:19), "Love thy neighbour as thyself." At this point all pain subsided, and I was free.
