In Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, states (p. 296): "Progress is born of experience. It is the ripening of mortal man, through which the mortal is dropped for the immortal.'" Relying upon Christian Science for the solution of many human problems, our family has not only achieved right results but has progressed to a higher understanding of and a stronger faith in God, divine Mind, as our only physician, creator, and governor.

When I was a teen-ager, a severe sunburn incapacitated me, and my father, who was not a Christian Scientist, became alarmed and asked for medical treatment for me. But after one week I was still in severe pain and unable to walk. Finally it was agreed that a Christian Science practitioner might be called. Within one day, I was able to bathe, dress, and move about freely. Within a week, all evidence of the sunburn had completely disappeared. I'm still grateful for that healing.

During two recent years, in particular, many errors had to be met in my family. Physical difficulties included colds, viruses, impaired hearing, internal trouble, digestive trouble, and warts. Other experiences included nightmares, accidents, a severe fall, loss, and thefts. Our car was stolen twice within two weeks. I was in a state of general mental, physical, and emotional exhaustion.
