I am grateful for having had the opportunity to attend a Christian Science Sunday School where I first established the values and goals which I continue to pursue as an adult.

It was in Sunday School that I was freed of the need to wear eyeglasses. Prior to my taking up the study of Christian Science, I had worn glasses from the age of seven. Originally I had been told I was nearsighted. Later an optometrist said I had astigmatism. When I was a senior in high school and a regular attendant in Sunday School, my Sunday School teacher helped me through prayer to put aside the glasses permanently.

She pointed out that man is the child of God and that vision is a spiritual quality, not a material one. She helped me to see that as a child of God man expresses perfect vision constantly. This better understanding of God, of man as His spiritual idea, and of vision as a spiritual quality transformed my thought and healed the condition.
