RADIO PROGRAM NO. 211 - "I will not leave you comfortless"

Announcer: Perhaps one of the greatest needs people have is to feel the divine comfort that wipes out loneliness and grief, the comfort that calms fears, removes anxiety, and restores confidence in good.

Questioner: People look for comfort in reading the Bible, but often they don't find it. They pray for help and still, sometimes, they feel it doesn't do any good. Yet, surely, the Bible has been of tremendous help to countless seekers for truth. But how can we encourage those who haven't found satisfying answers to their questions?

Speaker: Well, I think the answer lies in understanding the ever-presence of God, divine Love. We all need the assurance that we're never outside of divine Love. The human mother conveys this spirit of love and comfort: but the child only receives that comfort as he reaches out for it listens to it, and is willing to accept her reassurance. The individual surely should respond as much to divine Love in order to feel that God cares, that divine Love is willing to help and is capable of doing so.
